Fun Halloween Snacks for Kids

U.P. 2008
It was nice of my brother to plan his wedding in one of my most favorite places- the Upper Pennisula of Michigan.
We stayed in a rustic cabin at Lac La Belle
complete with deer tails, mice and a door that didn't lock the first few days
We managed to do a few other fun things as well....
we ate lots of ice cream
we played in the water
and in the sand(literally)
and found lots of cool rocks
we picked blueberries
had lots of picnics
with the perfect food
We saw...
boats
lighthouses
daisies growing wild wherever we went
waterfalls
sunsets
and some of the most gorgeous scenery you'll ever find
Being able to spend the week with family made it all the more fun...
I even managed to get a date in with my cute husband on my birthday. We went out to lunch and hiked to see a waterfall.
Thank you for sticking with me through this mega post. Some of these awesome pictures were taken by my sister and some by Jameson. I haven't even gotten a hold of my Mom's pictures. You hope when you take pictures that it will capture those moments that were so precious and I think many of these shots do that exactly!

Fun on the Fourth
We had a wonderful long weekend...
Troy got the shutters up- it only took 4 1/2 years.
We had fun watching the babies splash at the pool.
My BIL brought Chinese kites for all the kids.
13 of the 21 grandkids were here this weekend. It was nice to have so much family together.
We had a pretty good fireworks show right in our front yard.
Hope you all had a fabulous Fourth also!
This week we have Jameson's baseball tournament and then we can take off for here:

Checked off the list...
Swim team- ok, so it technically isn't over till next week, but my boys can't go to the last meet and so I think we are done for the year.
Jameson's birthday party (it is always so hard to find time to get this done between ball tournaments and swim meets.)
Get to the pool- Jameson's party also fulfilled Genna's daily request to go swimming. Because of games and bad weather, this was only her second time to the pool this year.
Make up rounds for golf league while we are on vacation.
A couple of furniture projects. Remember this piece? I decided to add it on top of a little cabinet I got for $5 at a sale. Then I set it by my $1.50 chair. Four cans of spray paint and 3 sheets of sandpaper later I was finished. The chair needed something and so I pieced together a casing for one of my existing pillows after being inspired by the pillow in the 3rd picture down in this post. I find myself inspired a lot when I visit her blog. You should check it out~ V and Co. I still need to add hardware onto the cabinet and fill in the spaces. What would you put in there?
Eat yellow carrots.
(ok, so maybe that last one wasn't really on my to do list, lol!)
Today's list-
boring stuff like laundry and housecleaning
